Chirashi sushi
We eat Chirashi sushi. What would you say it in English??
It is kind of sushi. We cook it at home. But we don't usually nigiri sushi at home.

My cookbooks call it scattered sushi.

Getting really fresh sashimi fish for sushi is very expensive for me, but I will try sometime. That recipe includes shrimp, tuna, salmon, sea bream, and scallops. Also suggested are squid and octopus.

Last summer I made a recipe with cucumber, wakame, and usuyaki tamago. One of my books says this is Osaka style. When it has sashimi, it is Tokyo style.

What did you put on your chirashi sushi?
