School journey
My uncle who lives in Nara, sent this picture.
It is very interesting picture. Please look the students. They can also receive commemorative photos of their school journey.
Japanese students go to Nara, Kyoto and the other their living city for the school journey.
When I was a junior high school student, I went to Nara and Kyoto.
Recently some students go to oversea countries. Times are changing.

School journeys are always fun aren't they? My son Tomas has his school camp this next term at school. He is looking forward to it.

Hi Lucy,
My daughter went to Japan when she was 12. She (and several other students in her school) stayed with a families in Hikone. They visited Kyoto and Tokyo with the Japanese students.

I was worried, because my daughter was so young and so far away. She had a wonderful time and brought back many souveniers.

The next year, the Japanese students came to stay with us in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

My daughter and the Japanese student wrote to each other for a few years, but they lost touch with each other when they went to college.

This happened 18 years ago. My daughter is grown-up and now lives in Madrid, Spain.

My older son is going to trip at school too. They stay two nights.
But teachers have to be tough.

Tess,
Hello, thank you for comments.
When I was young, I thought it was very far to go to The USA.
You and your daughter were so nice.
Hikone is nearby Kyoto and Nara.
I'm sure your daucgter had nice experience.
