Kakinoha sushi
I love Kakinoha sushi. Kakinoha is persimmon's leaves. If we say it in English, it is Leaf sushi of a persimmon??


My uncle sent me this pic.

In English, you would say it is Persimmon leaf sushi.

I know this fruit, but it is very rare in Hungary. We call it kaki or kaki-szilva (kaki-plum).
It is not very popular.
The name 'kaki' has a meaning in the Hungarian language...hmm....it means....hmm...poo.
I'm sorry.

Persimmons leaves have Tannin which has an antibacterial effect.
Old Japanse were very smart.
