Shiitake
Do you know Shiitake? Shitake is kind of mushroom in Japan. We eat grilled Shiitake with butter and lemon, boiled chikin and potates wiht shiitake...
Shiitake is very healthy.
When I was young, my mother said "You eat shiitake. After that you get sunshine outside."
But I didn't like dinners using shiitake. Usually kids don't like mushrooms.

my brother's brings up shitake

Yes, it is sold over here as well.
Surprisingly, it is called shiitake, with double 'i'-s.
How is it Lucy? is it single or double i?

One can buy it dried shiitakes in larger shops or organic shops.
But at special fairs, one might buy the real mushroom too.

I tasted it, found no special or good taste to it, but because it is very healthy, we eat it once or twice.

SzélsőFa,
Sorry, I took mistake it. “Shiitake” is right. Hahaha.
Actually I don’t like shiitake. But shiitake have Vitamin D. And my brother give me a lot of shiitake.

Cazzie!!!
Thank you for comments. I try to post about Japanese foods again.

LanternLight,
There are many kinds of mushrooms which have each name in Japan. But I think you say just mushrooms.
