IV'e also heard Americans eat these type of thick pancakes, but I let them speak up for themselves :)))
Hungarians have pancakes, too, but it is WAAAAY thinner than this and we never have them for breakfast. An average Hungarian family would have bread with butter and salami, boiled or scrambled eggs or something like this.
Many families would have cereals with milk for breakfast.
When I went to the USA, they ate usually pancakes at breakfast, they didn't eat hamburgers..
When I was kids, I didn't know pancakes in Japan. I just ate hotcakes which was not thin.
Pancakes over here are less than 0,5 cm thick. That is how thin they should be. Now this is a different type of food for when the pancake get thick like an American one the flavour is different, too.
Don't worry about America. It smells.
What you need to know is what people in Britain eat. We usually have some breakfast cereal, such as Frosties or Weetabix, and also some toast. Hmmmmm, toast.
We also always have a cup of tea. It's the law.
However, on the weekend, if we have the time, we might eat what's knowns as a traditional English breakfast - a fry-up. This involves fried bacon, sausages, fried tomatoes, fried or scrambled eggs, hash browns, and more toast.
Hmmmmmm.
It's very unhealthy but tastes great.
Szélső Fa,
Always, we don't have time to cook breakfast... We are busy every weekday's morning.
Kieran,
English breakfast is very cool. I like Eglish tea. But every day I don't have time. So I have tea tea which is tea bag..
The mentioned English breakfast is called continental breakfast over here. And provided that you eat some salads it is not the least unhealthy. It is yummy.
