Otaku
Our sons like trains. They are kids now. But there are a lot of enthusiastic fans who are trainspotters in Japan.
Do you say “OTAKU”? A newspaper’s story said you know “OTAKU”meaning.

We don't say 'otaku' here, but we do have people who are so obsessed with trains that they gather together just to photograph special trains and/or get excited when they see a special train somewhere.
(I, for example get SUPER excited when I see a steam engine for example. Or when I hear the whistle.)

Yes, we take a photograph. It is OK! But sometimes old pepole don't
like kids. Because old people can't take a photograph. That is not good thing.
Sometimes "OTAKU" are not kind of people.

It's used by computer and anime fans to show that they love Japan. You probably won't it, but some groups use it as a very positive wold..

The people in the States who are fans of anime describe themselves as "otaku" to express that that they are big fans of anime. Usually it's paired up with a specific anime such as "I'm a Sailor Moon otaku." I believe that only those types of people actively recognize and use the word.
