The potatoes crop
My friend has potato fields in Tokorozawa which is in Saitama prefecture. We visited her husband's field. And we digged a lot of potatos. So we enjoyed it.
In Japan, farming is difficult to get enough money. He is a farmer with a side job.

That looks like a lot of fun!
Digging for potatoes can be fun for kids! It's like hunting for treasure.
Nothing beats getting out there and working in the nice soil and then having something lovely at the end of harvest :) I must get to it and make the vegetable patch I have longed for since moving to this house here. We had many nice vegetables grow, with the help of the children too, at our last place we owned :)
